ISO/TS 16949, in conjunction with ISO 9001, defines the quality management system requirements for the design and development, production and, when relevant, installation and service of automotive-related products. ISO/TS 16949 can be applied throughout the automotive supply chain.
The ISO/TS16949 is an ISO technical specification aimed at the development of a quality management system that provides for continual improvement, emphasizing defect prevention and the reduction of variation and waste in the supply chain. It is based on the ISO 9001 standard and the first edition was published in March 2002 as ISO/TS 16949:2002.
It was prepared by the International Automotive Task Force (IATF) and the “Technical Committee” of ISO. It harmonizes the country-specific regulations of quality Management systems.

A Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) can do everything a bonded warehouse can do, … but also more. Thanks to the Us Federal Government, Federal Port Athority, and the Federal Homeland Security Agency agreeing to grant SOLO FTZ status, SOLO’s team can leverage legal ways to save you money through the reduction of duties and taxes.
An IMMEX certification is similar to the FTZ certification, but for Mexico. Only with the IMMEX certification can a company exercise the 16% Mexico IVA tax exemption.
